Bill Cosby on Taking Care of Others

Bill Cosby is known for his ability to communicate very effectively and for his clear understanding of life.  He has clarified what is important for people to become successful in many facets of their lives.

"I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone".  This quotation from Bill Cosby expresses the focus and motivations necessary for people to become successful.

From a mental fitness perspective, it is important to learn how to stop pleasing others and focused on self-actualization.  The Big Choice is learning how to take care of yourself and center your life around taking care of yourself rather than others.

Remember, to take care of yourself today and stop trying to please everyone.

Remember, We Live within the Environment Created by Her Choices!

Well, I have waited a while to share my feelings on this post, mainly because I don’t understand it. I do not consider myself stupid or uneducated by any means. I feel I take care of myself the best way I know how. But, call me a “people pleaser”, if you will. I have gone over and over the “Big Choice”, and I must be missing the message. I don’t get it. So, I will leave it at, “I need some help with my homework!” What is wrong with doing good for others? What is wrong with giving of yourself for others? It makes me happy!!!! I feel empowered by it. I think I was given a “special gift” from God. I see the needs of others, so I do what I think is the right thing. However, I do get myself in trouble at home with my spouse at times. I expect it, I live with it and life goes on. I would never give a knife to a person who did not want to live anymore, but would I put a smile on someones face by doing something good, or would I ease someones stressful situation if I could? Every chance I get!!! I live for it! Perhaps this sounds unhealthy, but it sounds right, atleast to me. So, I will take my book with me to my next appt. and try to understand what it is that I am missing. I just don’t get it. I really, really, respect Bill Cosby!! He has a natural gift of making people happy just by talking, and he is a very smart man. Just wanted to add that, and can’t wait for my appt.
