Mental Fitness and Bamboo
Mental fitness expectations must be realistic for choosing mental fitness solutions to solve your problems in everyday living.
Just when I thought I was done with blogging on gardening for awhile, an unexpected, web site blossomed into the landscape of my mind. Karen Lynch presented a wonderful blog on The Fern and the Bamboo. Karen Lynch’s inspiring blog site is Live the Power. I recommend that you visit this blog site and read this inspiring message.
Mental fitness solutions grow like bamboo. Mental fitness solutions are strong, long lasting and successful like bamboo.
.
A mental fitness solution does not try to find an immediate solution for a problem in living. A mental fitness solution is not a quick fix.
A mental fitness solution is a birthing process. Thoughts are planted in your mind, grow through patient repetition and finally give birth to long lasting, strong solutions to your problems.
The bamboo plant is the poster plant for mental fitness!
Let me tell you about the bamboo plant in comparison with the fern.
The fern grows quickly from the soil and produces beautiful foliage quickly. For five years the fern will populate a garden with green life, before there will be any evidence of growth from the bamboo seed.
Then, suddenly and by now unexpectedly, the bamboo sprouts break the surface of the soil. The tiny sprouts are small and insignificant in comparison to the vast expanse of ferns.
Six months later, the bamboo will grow to over 100 feet tall. The bamboo plant had spent five years growing deep roots to support a powerful, strong plant.
Taking time to grow deep roots, makes bamboo strong and gives bamboo everything it needs to survive and thrive naturally.
A mental fitness solution is like bamboo. Thoughts are planted into the soil of your mind to give birth to strong, long lasting, beautiful solutions for your problems. Take time to make yourself stronger and you will have the strength to solve any problem.
The natural process of life is to plant seeds, nurture the growth of the seeds and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Gardening is not an easy task. Planting and nurturing new thoughts in your mind will not be an easy task.
After the thoughts planted in your mind have become strong, you can relax and naturally enjoy the solutions to your problems.
People who do not want to plant and grow life solutions to their problems, are like ferns. Ferns give more immediate gratification and satisfaction. Although ferns are beautiful and quickly bring excitement, they are very weak. Ferns have shallow roots and weak trunks. Ferns can’t support the weight of change like bamboo.
When people build their solutions for change on ferns, they need sustained will power, never-ending hard work, and compulsive, conscious motivation to shore up the fragile structure of their success.
It is your choice. You can build the solutions to your problems upon bamboo or ferns.
Remember, You Live within the Environment Created by Your Choices.

I like what you did with Karen’s post. I printed it out from Karen’s blog last week so that I could do a possible article in the future as well.
