What Everybody Ought to Know About Scar Tissue Forming After Tubal Reversal
Members of the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center Message Board discuss the possibility of scar tissue forming after tubal reversal surgery. There is a chance that blockage may occur in the fallopian tubes after surgery due to scar tissue formation, tubal infection or other conditions. Dr. Berger's sews the muscular and outer serosal layers of the fallopian tube together but not the inner endothelial layer as this may increase the risk of scar formation within the tubal lumen. Fortunately, 95% of the time the fallopian tubes remain open after tubal ligation reversal performed at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.0

My Tubal Reversal Experience
I'd just like to say that my experience at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center last Friday for my TR was outstanding. I could not have asked for more. Lori, Donna, Pam, and Stephanie were absolutely amazing nurses! Each one made my husband and me feel welcomed and cared for. Dr. Monteith was more than I could have hoped for. He's very soft-spoken, and you can tell he loves what he does. Thanks to him, my husband and I have regained what we mistakenly had taken away so many years ago. We are thrilled to have had Dr. Monteith help us with the opportunity to conceive a child again. We are looking forward to having our prayers answered and have our own little 'Monteith Miracle'.0

Curious About Getting Pregnant After Having Tubes Tied Using Kleppinger Forceps
SharonB reports that she had her tubes tied using Kleppinger forceps, which is a type of cautery - or burning of the tubes. SharonB wants to know if she is a good candidate for tubal reversal surgery. Dr. Monteith responds and informs her that the sterilization technique she had is "fairly standard". "You can get a tubal ligation reversal and you have an excellent chance to become pregnant - on average 70%," states Dr. Monteith. SharonB hears from other patients who had their tubes tied in a similar fashion and recommend sending her operative report to Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center for a free interpretation by one of the tubal reversal doctors.0
