About
Brett has been in the wellness industry for over 15 years. Her passion for health and wellness began at the age of 17 while studying at Cornell University, where she quickly realized that exercise and good nutrition were vital to releasing stress and maintaining balance.
Interested in “spreading the word,” Brett became certified as a group fitness instructor through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), and went on to teach for Cornell University, Gold’s Gym and Bally’s Total Fitness in New York. She taught all types of fitness classes and especially enjoyed helping her students understand fundamentals of nutrition, fitness and overall wellness.
In July of 2007, Brett started Sheer Balance, a company dedicated to providing individuals with support and information on living a more balanced lifestyle. She realized that many of her friends and colleagues constantly struggled with finding balance in their every day hectic lives. They often didn’t have the time to dedicate to cooking and eating healthy, exercising, or taking time out for themselves. Further, she realized that many of these women were frustrated by the overwhelming amount of information that was contradicting, unclear and misleading when it came to healthy living. As a result, Brett saw a need to provide women with the right tools and information to make living healthy easy and fun.
Brett holds a Bachelor in Architecture and an MBA, with a focus on Spa Development and Brand Management, from Cornell University.
