Welcome to the World of Alzheimer’s Disease
Hello and Welcome!
You might be a reluctant visitor, but I’m looking forward to us getting to know each other as we fight the foe, Alzheimer’s disease. Mostly, what I’ll do here is give you a summary or glimpse of my work at my primary site, Battling Alzheimer. There you’ll find lots of resources and information. Plus, links galore to help you as you battle Alzheimer’s disease.
For today, I want to point your attention to some (bad) news in the Alzheimer’s community. Alzheimer’s disease is moving up the ladder (or down - depending on how you look at it). The CDC recently named it as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. That means that those who write about, research and treat the disease will be in business for a long time as it is projected that 10 million baby boomers may be affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Keep coming back. I’ll be giving you lots of resources and information. Whether you have the disease or are caring for someone with the disease, I’ll be walking with you and helping you along the way as you live with, deal with and battle Alzheimer’s disease.
