The Health Decalogue on Vacation

Summer and vacations are often accompanied by the risk of small and annoying disturbances that could ruin this period: rashes and burns, but also trauma, perforation of insect, intestinal disorders, fever and other illnesses.

To prevent these diseases we must not underestimate the small persistent disorders, not take drugs so superficial and carefully read the leaflets, following the directions of doctors and pharmacists.

Here are some useful insights for living well and healthier for summer

1 Avoid dehydration. During the summer we need to drink a lot, at least one and a half liters of water per day. The hot and the sweat, in fact, lead to lose more fluids to be replenished.

The water, however, should not be too cold to avoid blocks digestion and congestion

2 Defend by the insects. Mosquito nets, repellents and sprays are generally effective in keeping away mosquitoes.

3 To protect from the sunlight is better not forget carry and use sunscreen, which must be specific to the type of skin

4 On table. With the heat, even the digestive processes are less efficient. Prefer, therefore, lighter foods, fruits and vegetables that make it possible to avoid problems of poor digestion, constipation, diarrhea or heartburn

5 Attention to the eyes. Sunlight, sea water and wind can make them tough test. Use good sunglasses and alleviate the irritation, if not very intense, with drops decongestants

6 For the sea, air and car problems, there are effective specific medicines in tablets, chewing gum or patches, ask your family doctor

7 Low Blood Pressure. The heat helps to lower the pressure and who generally suffers from low pressure affected particularly the effects of heat.

A little ’sugar may be useful to raise a small overhang pressure, but it is advisable to go from your doctor to get appropriate medicines.

8 Trauma and body aches. Distortions, muscle aches as the stiff neck may be alleviated with some ointments, creams or ointments
